A fold is just a fold, you might think, but nothing could be further from the truth! The right folding technique can significantly impact the final result. Think of Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding.

In origami, a limited number of folds are used, but their combination allows complex designs.

For our folders we - fortunately - limit ourselves to simpler folding methods. The best known and most used are the single fold, wrap fold and zigzag fold.

If you want something more striking, you can opt for the double parallel fold, hatch fold or gate fold. Wow! It's not surprising that we call it a 'folder'. Literally translated it is a 'folding leaf'. Which folding method would you like to use and why?
